How to Join Channel Zero (The Underground Newspaper Webring)

1. Be sure that your site is actually a site about underground newspapers. We are not simply another zine ring.



2. Fill out this form.



3. Either use Yahoo's Server-Side Navigation Bar (ugly) for the ring (follow the instructions in the email) in which case you are done. Or, add the proper HTML code to the page at the location you entered in the ring addition form; or, if you must have a splash screen, at least put the banner on the next page in. Don't put it on a links page, or even worse, a page listing webrings you're in. You can cut and paste your customized HTML fragment from the page which comes up after you fill out the form or the e-mail sent to you after you fill out the form. Be sure not to word wrap the long line, as this will cause spaces between the images. The code will look something like this, with YOUR-SITE-ID (which can be found in the URL to your navigation bar in the email) replaced by your actual site-id:

Upload chzero1.gif, chzero2.gif, chzero3.gif, chzero4.gif, and chzero5.gif or, if you have a black background, black_chzero1.gif, black_chzero2.gif, black_chzero3.gif, black_chzero4.gif, and black_chzero5.gif (each renamed to chzeroX.gif [without the "black_"] of course) to your webserver.

Make sure that all graphics and links involving the webring work properly, only sites which have a working HTML fragment will be added.
